Ashless filter papers from Whatman are produced from high quality cotton linter under carefully controlled conditions for a maximum ash content of 0.01%. They are ideal for a wide range of critical analytical filtration procedures. Round filters, Grade No. 40 The general purpose ashless filter paper with medium flow rate and particle retention. Typical applications include gravimetric analysis, filtration of solutions prior to AA spectro-photometry and the monitoring of air pollution.
Round filters, Grade No. 41 Whatman's fastest ashless filter paper, recommended for analytical procedures involving coarse particles or gelatinous precipitates (e.g. iron or aluminium hydroxides). Also used in quantitative air pollution analysis.
Round filters, Grade No. 42 A filter with a high retention rate (2.5 µm) for very fine analytical analyses, e.g. barium sulphate and metastannic acid. With a low flow rate, this is a world standard for critical gravimetric analyses.
Round filters, Grade 589/2 A medium speed paper suitable for foodstuffs analysis, soil analysis, air pollution monitoring and inorganic analysis in the construction, mining and steel industries.
Round filters, type 589/2 ½ Prepleated version of Grade 589/2.
