Steam input into the sample by the behrotest^® WE steam generator guarantees gentle and very uniform distillation.

Steam is produced nearly immediately (within 30 seconds at most). The possible duration of steam generation (and thereby the maximum possible distillation duration) is not limited by the size of a water supply container within the steam generator; the user may employ an external water container of any desired volume.

The WE 1 is purely a steam generator, whereas the WE 1/H not only generates steam, but is also provided with the capability to heat the sample vessel as is necessary e.g. to determine the phenol index.
