Our moisture balance is a precise device for determining moisture in liquid and solid materials. The moisture balance is suitable for various applications in raw material extraction, production, processing, research and recycling. With a maximum sample weight of 220 g and a high measuring resolution of 0.001 g, the moisture balance enables precise moisture measurement.

The moisture balance works on the principle of drying with simultaneous weighing. During drying, the weight loss is continuously recorded and displayed as a percentage of the total mass. With a heater output of 250 W and an adjustable heating temperature of 40 °C to 180 °C, the moisture balance ensures quick and flexible drying of the samples. For measurement evaluation, the device offers various parameters such as % moisture, % dry matter, % moisture bd as well as g residual weight / kg and residual weight, which enable the sample to be analysed.

The functions include an automatic power-off function that stops the drying process when a constant weight is reached. The automatic power-off can be set to three criteria: start of sampling, sampling interval and weight loss per sampling interval. This allows a high degree of flexibility in controlling the drying process. There is also a timer that can be set from 1 to 180 minutes. Our appliance is also equipped with a menu lock that prevents accidental adjustment of the parameters. The menu can be locked using a PIN whereas the CAL menu item remains available. The balance also has a programme memory with up to 9 memory locations to store and quickly call up different drying profiles.

The moisture balance offers GLP-compliant output of all data via the Data Bridge software. Intermediate values can be printed at individually adjustable intervals, if required. In addition, all data is transferred via the serial RS-232 interface and USB. The printer can be deactivated if required. Data can be transferred to a PC via software which must be purchased separately. The moisture balance also has a 4-digit device ID for unique identification of the device, which enables precise allocation of the measurement data.

The moisture balance is suitable for moisture analysis in many industries, such as food and beverages (e.g. coffee, flour), pet food, chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, agriculture, dairy processing, meat processing, wood industry, textile processing, recycling and sewage treatment plants. The moisture balance provides reliable measurements for a wide range of temperature-insensitive materials.
