The Comparator System 2000 is based on a versatile 2-field visual comparator with optional illumination unit to ensure correct lighting conditions for colour grading and colorimetric analysis. Sample colour is visually matched in the comparator with graduated coloured glass filters in Lovibond® test discs.

The Lovibond® AF328 is a special kit for visual colour grading of the platinum-cobalt/Hazen/APHA colour number over the range 0 - 70 mg Pt/l.
It is commonly used for light yellow liquids, such as water, oils and chemicals. The colour is determined by visually adjusting a sample column in a Neßler cylinder with pre-calibrated, colour-stable colour glass standards that are insensitive to UV light and extreme ambient conditions.
As the sample colours are relatively unsaturated, the kit uses a Nessleriser comparator with a long path depth to ensure greater measurement sensitivity and accuracy.

Consider switching to the EComparator 2000 Pt-Co for visual and automatic measurement. The best of both worlds.
