The Comparator System 2000 is based on a versatile 2-field visual comparator with optional illumination unit to ensure correct lighting conditions for colour grading and colorimetric analysis. Sample colour is visually matched in the comparator with graduated coloured glass filters in Lovibond® test discs.

The Lovibond® AF327 is a special kit for visual colour grading of the platinum-cobalt/Hazen/APHA colour number over the range 0 - 70 mg Pt/l.

It enables the user to comply with the layer depth specifications of ASTM D 1209, which specifies a colour matching system in which a sample column of 100 ml with a length of 275 - 295 mm is matched in platinum-cobalt solutions.

Consider switching to the EComparator 2000 PtCo for visual and automatic measurement. The best of both worlds.

The AF327 kit is commonly used for light yellow liquids, such as water, oils and chemicals.
Colour is determined by visually matching a sample column in a Nessler cylinder with pre-calibrated colour glass standards that are colour stable and insensitive to UV light and extreme environmental conditions. As the sample colours are relatively unsaturated, the kit uses a Nessleriser comparator with a long shift depth to ensure greater measurement sensitivity and accuracy.
